EDGAR: My Favorite Shop on Martha's Vineyard

Last week my hubby and I took a trip to Martha's Vineyard to celebrate our first wedding anniversary! It was such a special adventure and we enjoyed every minute of it. I can't wait to share more moments with you in the coming weeks!

My favorite place by far was Edgartown. I loved the shops and yummy restaurants. It was so beautiful and relaxing. As we were strolling down the street one morning, I was stopped in my tracks by my dream pool float... a big gold swan (genius marketing, right?) on the lawn of a little boutique named EDGAR. Of course, I had to go inside.

My husband and I were welcomed in by the beautiful space and flood of natural light. Each design element (from the tables to the lighting) was so well thought out. Most importantly, I loved the clothes! The buying choices for this boutique were genius and helped the shop to stand out amongst a flood of kitschy t-shirt stores. I could have done some serious damage up in there!

From popular brands like Wildfox to new finds like Made in Italy, I was so inspired and wanted basically everything. They carry both men's and women's clothing, shoes and accessories. It's super cute, super chic and is set in a lovely location. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in MV! Stay stylish, EDGAR.

Never One for Neon

Those who know me know that I've never been a huge fan of neon — that is, until this weekend. I've made it my mission to start adding a bit of color to my wardrobe (when I say a bit, I mean for every 10 pieces, only 8 or 9 will be black). Needless to say, my years at Vera Wang in all black have made an impact on me — that and Johnny Cash.

Anway, while shopping at the J.Crew Factory this weekend, I came across this bling with just a subtle touch of neon around the edge. It made me realize that just a hint of color can do the trick. I don't have to look like a popsicle to lighten up for summer.

PS. If you can't find this particular one online or in stores, I also love this "pale guava" version, as well.

Review: Rent the Runway

Over the past couple of years, my relationship with Rent the Runway has been a bit rocky. I've been sent the wrong dresses, had issues with billing, delivery, etc. However, I truly feel like RTR has improved a great deal and has developed a much stronger experience. Not only is their collection more varied, but their site design and user experience is great and their customer service has blossomed.

Last year, I was really disappointed when I received the wrong dress for my birthday dinner. I was looking forward to wearing something special and had to spend the entire day at the malls searching for something I wasn't that in love with. This year, however, was very different. I received a beautiful dress from Rent the Runway that I really loved. We had a few bumps in the shipping process, but everything turned out fine.

I think that brands who continue to grow and develop deserve props. I'm excited to see what they come up with next and hope to have many more positive experiences to add to my RTR journey. After all, who doesn't love affordable couture?

Dressed in Denim

What's better than mommy and baby matching? When Kim and North are the duo, of course! We are absolutely loving this laid back look on Kim and North. These two beauties show us how to look fresh and beautiful, while rocking effortless, casual clothing. I know what look is going to inspire my attire this weekend. How about you? Will you be donning denim this weekend?
