December holidays are behind us and one of my favorite holidays is about a month away... Valentine's Day! I love Valentine's Day because it's not only a special day to let your significant other know how much you love them but you can also do fun things with your friends. My bestie and I always do a little something for each other... we have since we were little girls. So, I thought I'd put together a few fun gift suggestions for you and your bestie!

Below are some of my favorite items and I think there's a little something for everyone. I just placed my first order with Wilde House Paper and their "Bestie Box" would make the perfect gift. I also get a lot of questions on where my lip gloss is from. Glossier is my go-to so of course, I want my bestie to be in on the secret, too. Kate Spade is great for jewelry and Rifle Paper Co. always has something fun up their sleeves. Take a peek below and make sure you let me know either in the comments or on social what your favorite gift idea is!

Silver and Stripes

I don't typically go super preppy but this summer has been the exception. This morning's theme is silver and stripes. The shift is a thick, stretch cap sleeve style I found at the J.Crew Factory Outlet this weekend. My sandals are also from JCF. My necklace is the "Knotshine" necklace from Madewell. This summer, I took the time to find some key jewelry and sandals that I knew I could mix and match to make some really fun outfits.

I've linked to each of these items in the "Shop My Closet" tab above or you can scroll through below to purchase. Follow me on Instagram @JulieSaldarriaga for more fashion finds.

On Point

Some of you may know that I injured my foot a few years back and had to have surgery to remove one of my bones (gross... I know). Because of that injury, I was left with the tragic reality that I could no longer wear heels. For a woman who loves fashion, it was pretty hard to grasp the idea that I would need to part ways with so many of my beloved shoes. It also makes getting dressed up a bit difficult since flats can feel fairly "dumpy" for lack of a better term when paired with dresses and skirts.

It definitely caused me to have to search a bit harder for stylish shoes that were not sky high but still looked stylish and appropriate with a dressier outfit. One trend I've fallen in love with is the pointed flat so I've decided to share a few of my favorite pairs from J.Crew and ASOS!

I prefer a wider fit so my toes don't get squished and I love trying metallics for a little twist on the more demure trend. Who says flats can't be fabulous? Take a scroll through below for some of my favorite styles!
