In My Kitchen: Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Brownies

Some of my favorite recipes come from iterating on things my mom and my aunt have made first. They are two of the best cooks and most of what I know I've learned from them. These dangerously delicious brownies are just another example of their genius. My aunt and I were chatting one day and she told me about her idea of putting peanut butter cups in brownies and I just had to try it myself. Okay, I'll get to the good part... the recipe!

PS. It's super easy and it's definitely a crowd pleaser!

1. Line a 13 x 9 pan with parchment paper (this makes it super easy to get the goods out fast)
2. Follow the steps for Pillsbury fudge brownie mix (it's my favorite and it's easy)
3. Pour the mixture onto the parchment paper in the pan
4. Break up 4-6 peanut butter cups and sprinkle evenly across the top of the batter (I like Justin's Organic Dark Peanut Butter Cups or mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups best)
5. Once the brownies are done, drizzle chocolate fudge (or chocolate syrup if you're in a bind) across the top of the brownies before you cut them
6. Once they are cooled a bit, lift the parchment paper and start slicing

In My Home: Easter Decor

I searched far and wide for stylish Easter decorations and had a difficult time finding things that I loved and made sense in my home. I kept trying to find the right mix of pretty pastels but just couldn't make it happen. Then, I stumbled across these white and gold bunnies at Target and fell in love. I loved the idea that spring decor can be simple and chic but still whimsical. Great minds must think alike because just one week later, my mom gave me the adorable egg you see in the photo. I'm not sure where she got it but I'll have to ask her for you guys!

The moral of this Easter tale is don't conform to what everyone else is doing. Chose something fun and unique to your style when selecting your holiday decor.

Visit Target.com or your local Target store to score these chic little bunnies!

On Point

Some of you may know that I injured my foot a few years back and had to have surgery to remove one of my bones (gross... I know). Because of that injury, I was left with the tragic reality that I could no longer wear heels. For a woman who loves fashion, it was pretty hard to grasp the idea that I would need to part ways with so many of my beloved shoes. It also makes getting dressed up a bit difficult since flats can feel fairly "dumpy" for lack of a better term when paired with dresses and skirts.

It definitely caused me to have to search a bit harder for stylish shoes that were not sky high but still looked stylish and appropriate with a dressier outfit. One trend I've fallen in love with is the pointed flat so I've decided to share a few of my favorite pairs from J.Crew and ASOS!

I prefer a wider fit so my toes don't get squished and I love trying metallics for a little twist on the more demure trend. Who says flats can't be fabulous? Take a scroll through below for some of my favorite styles!
